The Bailey Group Named Outstanding Small Business for National Philanthropy Day

The Bailey Group, a leading health insurance and employee benefits brokerage firm in Northeast Florida, was named 2016’s Outstanding Small Business for National Philanthropy Day by the First Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The Bailey Group was selected for the honor after being nominated by Community Hospice of Northeast Florida and Flagler College. The Bailey Group accepted the award at a banquet in Jacksonville on Nov. 18. 2016.
Under the leadership of President Mark Bailey, Sr., and his wife, Alecia, The Bailey Group and its employees have supported many charitable organizations within the community – both financially and through volunteerism.
“It goes without saying that Flagler College and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida have a special place in our hearts and we appreciate them for nominating us,” said Mark Bailey, Sr., President of The Bailey Group. “The principles of giving were instilled in all of us and passed down to our organization by my father, John Bailey, who founded the company. His belief that a small business like ours can make a big difference when it comes to helping those in need is a guiding principle for our company.”
Mark went on to say, “We have many young families on our team doing an amazing job balancing the obligations of life while still remaining involved with so many organizations in our community.”
National Philanthropy Day, which happens each year on November 15th, acknowledges the entire spectrum of services that the nonprofit and civic and service sectors provide, as well as the profound impact that philanthropy has on the fabric of society. This annual event In Jacksonville is also a fundraiser for the Florida First Coast Chapter of the AFP to provide scholarships and educational opportunities to further individual members’ professional development.
