We are excited to welcome Ronna Jones to The Bailey Group team as our Voluntary Benefits Account Research Coordinator.
Ronna will be working directly with Dan Greene, our Voluntary Benefits Coordinator, to streamline processes, assist with reconciliations, and provide service to group accounts.
Take a moment to get to know Ronna in her own words and you’ll see why we’re so happy to have her on our team.
Before The Bailey Group
I graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi with a Major in Spanish with an emphasis in Secondary Education. I also have Florida teaching certifications in Spanish K – 12 and Elementary Education.
This is my first foray into the insurance business. Prior to this job, I taught in Suwannee County for over 10 years. The last 5 1/2 years I worked with the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida.
About a year ago, I started researching a move to St. Augustine. I literally drove around the island looking for places I might like to work. That’s when I discovered The Bailey Group.
Discovering The Bailey Group
After doing some internet research and chatting with a number of different people from St. Augustine, I decided that The Bailey Group would be the perfect fit for me. I learned a lot about the Bailey family and their reputation for being good people. The work culture at The Bailey Group was very appealing, as well as the benefits.
I’m looking forward to eventually working outside on the patio and though I have not yet taken advantage of Flex Fridays, I think it is a great reward for employees who work hard during the week.
Outside of The Bailey Group
I have two boys: Phillip (18) and Garrett (14). Phillip is a freshman at the University of Florida studying in the College of Engineering. Garrett is a freshman at Pedro Menendez High School. Spending time with them and my extended family is a top priority for me.
I enjoy reading — especially inspirational stories and Christmas novels. Music is important to me. I love to just sit and listen to different instruments. I enjoy playing the piano.
The beach and the Smoky Mountains are happy places for me. As such, we finally decided to move to the beach. I love the soothing sounds of the ocean and the coastal breeze.
