We are excited to welcome Joanie Crews to The Bailey Group team as an Administrative Assistant and our new Receptionist.

Joanie will be the first voice you hear when calling our office. In fact, we just gifted her with a new 8 line Shoretel phone system to learn, so it’s safe to say she’ll be kept quite busy. In addition to her receptionist duties, Joanie will be assisting our Admin team with some day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

Take a moment to get to know Joanie Crews in her own words and you’ll see why we’re so thrilled to have her on our team.

Before The Bailey Group

I have spent time in a number of different positions that helped me get to where I am now. After graduating from Flagler Palm Coast High School, I took some medical classes in college which led to me working as a receptionist in the medical field.

After spending a few years as a stay-at-home mom and raising a family of my own, I ventured back out into the working world as an administrative assistant / case manager.

In the late 2000s,I went back to college to earn my state certified Medical Aesthetician’s license to practice dermatology. Although I did not end up pursuing that as a career, it broadened my knowledge in some areas that I have always been interested in learning more about.

Discovering The Bailey Group

The job I held before The Bailey Group recently moved their offices to an area that was just too far to travel to, so I started looking around at the jobs that were available in the area. A friend of mine (now also a Bailey Group employee) told me that she had applied for a job with a great company and that they were looking for a new receptionist.

I looked The Bailey Group up on the internet and was so impressed with the company that I immediately applied for the position, which was quickly followed up by a phone call from Deborah Croft, the Operations Officer at the company. I had my interview shortly after and of course, the rest is history.

Outside of The Bailey Group

Like most moms, I enjoy spending time with my children, as well as my extended family. I have lived in Palm Coast most of my life and have on sister, two brothers, and my parents that all live close by.

My husband and I enjoy going to the movies. We frequently travel down to South Florida to visit my daughter in Ft. Lauderdale. My sister and her husband have a very nice boat, so whenever the opportunity presents itself we love to explore the open waters with them.

It’s safe to say there is never a dull moment in my life.
